Hello!
I'm Annette Slade.

With over 25 years of experience as a food, beverage, and product photographer, I feel most alive when capturing the perfect shot for my clients.

From our first conversation, my mind starts filling with ideas for the look and feel of your images — the number of water droplets on the table, the swirl in the yogurt, the crease in the bag lying just right. It’s these carefully considered details that make your product shine above the rest.

Each project begins with a clear goal: create images that are not only beautiful, but effective—while respecting your time. The result of this collaborative process is aligned, high-quality images ready to perform.

A Seamless, Creative Experience

Photoshoots can be time-consuming. You have a business to run. I have refined my workflow to respect your time while giving you meaningful involvement in key decisions.

When we work together, I will be your dedicated collaborator. You can expect your images to represent exactly what you ask for, with special touches that make them exceptional.

My role involves selecting stylists (if needed), sourcing props and backgrounds, and thinking through lighting and composition. I tailor my approach to the specific products or menu items you have selected, with the end use of your images always top of mind.

Connect

Let’s connect on a complimentary discovery call to discuss your project.

Proposal

Once we select the location and finalize an approach to fit your budget, I will prepare a proposal for you. I request a 50% deposit to book your shoot.

Prep Time

I’ll handle all the details to prepare for your shoot. I will be available to answer any questions or concerns that arise along the way.

Go Time

It's shoot day, and I’m ready to roll. You can either join me in my studio, or we’ll review images virtually. If virtual, it’s important for you to be near a good screen to preview the images.

Enjoy

I’ll edit and process your final images to your specific requirements. My goal is your 100% satisfaction. Once your images are complete and I've received your final payment, I'll send you a link to download your files.

Based in Colorado, I often work with clients from across the country who ship products to my studio.

Working remotely with clients is a highly collaborative and structured experience. From the outset, I invite you to share your preferences—what you’re drawn to, what you want to avoid, and any visual direction you may have in mind. This can include reference images, brand guidelines, or even simple sketches. The more insight you provide, the more precisely I can tailor the work to your vision.

For clients who aren’t quite sure what they want yet, I guide the process by developing a curated moodboard. This becomes our foundation for defining the creative direction and ensures we’re aligned before the shoot begins. Even when clients initially say “I trust you—do what you think is best,” I’ve found that everyone has distinct preferences. Part of my role is to uncover and refine those preferences so the final images feel intentional and aligned with your brand.

On the day of the shoot, I will loop you in throughout the process with real-time image updates, inviting you to review progress and provide feedback as we go. This approach respects your time, while still giving you meaningful involvement in key decisions. The result is a streamlined, collaborative experience where you can feel confident, informed, and genuinely part of the creative process.

Your Shoot...
with Vision

When you work with me, you don’t just get pictures. You get your brand brought to life through the camera. Every brand has a style, a vibe, and an approach. I excel at understanding these traits and ensuring they translate beautifully in every photo.

A Passion for Detail and Dimension

There’s something special about every photo. A story to be told. An extra-special background, or a new kind of lighting. A careful touch that makes the image stand out. I have a gift for creating photos with heart and making those details sing.
