Getting it Right, the First Time

When Chef Lorena Garcia reached out, she was looking for imagery that matched the quality of her product. She had tried a lower-cost option that didn’t achieve the results she wanted.

I structured the shoot with the right stylist to fit the project’s needs and collaborated closely with the client throughout the process.

Dishes like lasagna require a high level of technical skill and styling precision. Every layer, texture, and detail must be carefully managed to create an image that feels both appetizing and true to the product.

The final result delivered exactly what was missing the first time: strong, appetizing imagery that reflects the brand’s quality. A clear example of how experience not only elevates the outcome, but avoids costly do-overs.

Brass Dragon Bistro

An out-of-state candy company, Brass Dragon Bistro, entrusted me with full creative direction while working entirely remotely. They shared thematic ideas inspired by their Dungeons & Dragons brand and sent props they wanted to use. I took the lead in shaping the visual direction and building each set from the ground up.

From sourcing fantasy elements to incorporating ingredient cues that reflect each flavor, every detail was carefully considered. The final images feel rich, imaginative, and cohesive: designed to draw the viewer in and highlight the product in a way that feels both distinctive and intentional.

All of this was executed without requiring the client to be on set, allowing them to stay focused on their business while I handled the creative and technical process.

Wholesum Organic Vegetables

For Wholesum, the project objective was to create both recipe-driven imagery and styled product shots to be used across product one-pagers, retail signage, social media, and ecommerce. The client is located in Arizona. The shoot was executed with a remote workflow.

Starting with a list of Wholesum’s tomato varieties, I researched what flavor profiles each variety is best suited for and developed shot concepts based on recipes customers might use. This groundwork ensured the final images felt authentic and relevant to Wholesum’s customers.

Next, I created a cohesive visual direction that I presented to the client on mood boards. I refined the approach based on the client’s feedback. To prepare for the shoot, I handled sourcing, styling, and production for each scene.

Throughout the process, the client remained involved in approvals and direction without needing to be physically present. This approach allowed their team to stay focused on their own work while receiving a collection of thoughtful, well-executed images tailored to their brand.

Glownola

As a first-time product founder, Glownola needed guidance as much as they needed photography. Working remotely, I created a clear and supportive process from the moment the product arrived.

I handled everything from unpacking and organizing to styling and developing the visual direction. To help refine the look, I shared inspiration boards so the client could easily communicate their preferences. From there, each decision was built step by step until the final images came together with clarity and intention.

The client remained involved in key decisions without needing to step away from their day-to-day work. They received polished, professional imagery with a smooth, stress-free experience.
